Double Trouble

Today we went to our friend, Petey Nannen's, to hangout with him while his mom went to a doctor's appointment. Peter is 5 months YOUNGER than Ryan, but they are the same size! Too cute! (I actually think Petey is bigger than our little guy!) They had a ball just playing together, taking toys from each other, harassing the dog and climbing on everything. I was picking up blocks across the room when I heard Petey protesting to something. When I looked over I just couldn't help but smile. Ryan was trying to put a pumpkin bucket on Petey's head. I wish I could have captured that on film!

WHINE = WINE

Never in a million years did I ever think that my sweet Ryan would drive me nuts, but TODAY he did! Yes, I know he doesn't feel good, but he was whining for no reason at all. He would point to something, I would give it to him, he would whine, I would pick him up, he would whine, I would put him down, he whined, I took him for a walk in Old Blue (his favorite car) and he whined....so, guess what? I WINED!!! Ha! I made him dinner, poured myself a glass of wine and while eating dinner and singing along to our favorite band Hullabaloo, I FINALLY, FINALLY got some smiles! Now that is my sweet boy!

Our 4th Ear Infection

YES! That is my Ryan lounging on the couch while watching Sesame Street! He laid like that for about 30 minutes while I fed him scrambled eggs and part of a cereal bar. We found out a few hours later that he has yet another ear infection. The good thing about our Ryan is that he really doesn't complain or act like he doesn't feel good...which is nice! Travis actually thought I should take him in this time....a first! Mother's intuition is a real thing and it has yet to fail me!!!

Halloween craft

Our little friend, Peter Nannen, spent the day with us on Friday while his mom treated herself to a new hairdo, lunch BY HERSELF and some retail therapy! I found this great and toddler friendly Halloween craft online the other night and thought it would be fun to do with Ryan and Peter. They both were troopers and now we have fun and fantastic art to display! I cannot wait to do more with them!

Hiking Mt. Woodson

Since Trav's hiking trip to Mt. Langley was delayed, we decided to take advantage of the fabulous hike in our backyard (literally)....Mt. Woodson! Ryan did great on the way up, but once we got him out of the pack, there was no getting him back in, so we just took turns carrying him on the way down! In a few of the pics you can see our awesome neighborhood in the background! Please come check it out for yourself...we would love to have you!

Rocking Ryan

I bought this rocking chair for Ryan at a Family Swap Meet for $15 and he just figured out how to climb in it himself and rock. Too cute!

Ryan's Ride

Tammy bought Ryan his 1st Birthday gift when she was here and let me tell ya....HE LOVES IT! I am bummed we didn't put it together while she was still her so she could have seen how much joy she brought to his life! He was/is hilarious with it! When I brought him downstairs this morning he went straight to it, climbed in, closed the door and sat in it while watching Sesame Street and having his breakfast! We push him all over the house and on the back patio and he just turns the steering wheel and smiles! We all love it! Thank you Aunt Tammy!

Fun with Tammy and Griffith

We were so happy to have Tammy and Griffith come and stay with us for 5 days! Ryan LOVED having a "big guy" around and learned all kinds of fun thing's from G....mainly running and just moving fast! Both of the guys were perfect as we dragged them around 2 different malls and various restaurants, but definitley had some kid time at a local park and LEGOLAND! We had s much fun and I am bummed that I have waited this long to take Ryan! Even though he is still a little too young for most of the stuff, he had a great time in the "little kids" areas and just enjoyed spending the day with his pal Griffith! Griffith, a pirate, had a lot of fun and rode a ride all by himself and smiled and laughed the entire time! They had an entire section of minature major cities made entirely of Legos... truly amazing! How cool would it be to make stuff with Legos all day?

Pumpkin Patch

Travis made it home from Key West on Wed. night and had Friday off, so we decided to head to Bates Nut Farm's Pumpkin Patch to avoid the weekend crowds! The Nannen Family joined us for some pumpkin picking, kettle corn eating and pony riding! Ryan and Petey had a great time climbing all over the pumpkins and were super patient while their mommies tried to capture that perfect picture of their sweet little pumpkins!!! Ryan went on his first pony ride and LOVED IT! He was so cute and just smiled the whole time. We had a great day and are looking forward to the fall weather returning and sticking around for more than 3 days!!

Pensacola trip

While Travis and the Red Devils were in Key West working (on their tans) for 2 weeks, Ryan and I decided to visit my family in Pensacola. We hadn't seen my sister and her family since last December, so I was excited to see how all the cousins would get along....and OH, did they!!! Ryan giggled, laughed and squealed for 6 days straight and I could not have been happier! I have always enjoyed watching Ryan interact with other children, but NOTHING compares to watching him with MY niece Olivia and nephews Connor and Cooper! He wanted to do everything that the "Big Kids" were doing and tried his best to keep up! They live in a cul-de-sac and played in the street most of the time with the other neighborhood kids. Ryan pushed all of their trucks around while they zoomed by on scooters, bikes, etc. So now Ryan heads straight to our street while playing with his trucks!! My sweet LITTLE BIG BOY! We also made it to the beach one day and Ryan just loved watching the waves crash, watching the kids play in the water and digging around in REAL SAND!! I just loved that the sand didn't stick to him the way it does in San Diego!!

Joining the wonderful world of bloggers...

Well, after becoming friends with an avid blogger and reading some fun and sad blogs, I have decided to start one for my sweet little Noodle, Ryan. It will mainly be pictures of my silly and fun little guy, but I thought it would be the easiest way to share all the wonderful things that he does throughout his life with our families and close friends!

Thanks to Sarah, Jeannie and Krissy for having such fun blogs that have inspired me to document my little guys life!!! You are all wonderful women and amazing bloggers and I hope to capture the many activities/events/memories of Ryan the way you all have of your adorable children!! I, however, am not as well written as you ladies, but will give it a shot!!!

Here goes....
