You cannot tell from this picture, but it was SUPER windy and Ryan was having trouble walking and thought it was funny!
Mommy and her crazy fun rock climbing son, Ryan!!
On the way home from Yuma we decided to cut through Cleveland National Forest to soak in the smell of all the beautiful and mature pine trees! We love this drive and are so lucky to live so close to both the mountains and the ocean! We stopped for a bite to eat at a hole in the wall log cabin restaurant for a yummy hamburger and fries before stopping for a quick hike! When we were walking back to our car we realized that we probably didn't have warm enough clothes with us for a hike! It was in the 80's in Yuma and about 50 and VERY windy in the mountains, so we just pieced together some crazy, yet warmer, outfits! The area where we hiked is known for being very windy and is a place families go to spread the ashes of loved ones and we saw a lot of memorial plaques on various rocks along our way! We were sad to see a family spreading some ashes, but were happy they were all together for such a special moment!
Ryan LOVED LOVED LOVED being able to climb all over the rocks and was being encouraged by his daddy to do some crazy things. I, on the other hand, was scared for both of them the whole time. Travis gets so upset with me for being such a worry wart, but I cannot help it....he is my son and I love him! We all had a great day and will remember this day after Thanksgiving forever!!!!
love seeing them climb around!
